The EPA is accepting grants for its “Recycling Education and Outreach Grant Program.” The EPA will disperse as much as $30 million in grant money. The funds are designed to:
–inform the public about local recycling programs
–provide information about the kinds of recycled materials accepted and how to separate waste from recyclable organic material
–reduce waste generation and increase recycling rates
States, local jurisdictions, Indian Tribes, nonprofit organizations and public-private partnerships are some of the entities that are eligible to apply. The EPA is accepting applications through January 16, 2023.
